Version 2.0.2.6 Released (11/12/09)

November 12th, 2009

We released version 2.0.2.6 of Keyword Rockstar today and it contains a great new feature for the Content Network & Placement Targeted campaigns, along with some bug fixes for the Flash Banner Preview functionality.

Now, you can use tokens in your Content & Placement campaigns just like you can in your Search Campaigns.

This is great for dynamic landing pages or getting the keyword in your text ads.

NOTE: The tokens only work in the Text Ads not the Image Ads. We are working on a solution for possibly implementing that, but we wanted to go ahead and give you the Text Ad Token capability.

Best wishes,

Jon

Version 1.0.5.1 – Recursion Level 0 Added

April 7th, 2009

We have released version 1.0.5.1 with a new feature and a few minor bug fixes.

Many of our users have asked for the ability to not expand the seed keywords, but rather just retrieve the data for them.  This is most useful if you already have a keyword list that you just want to get the statistics for.

This version now gives you that option.

If you just want to retrieve the stats for a keyword list and not have that list be expanded by the Google Keyword Tool, simply select Recursion Level 0 when you create your project.

This will prevent the expansion of the seed with synonyms and only retrieve the stats for the keywords you enter into the seed textbox.

This version also addressed an issue that a few people were having with the AllInTitle search.

Best Wishes,

Jon

New Version 1.0.4.6 Released – Great New Features.

March 10th, 2009

We have just released a new version of Keyword Rockstar today!

It includes one new feature that was requested by one of our customers and three new features that we thought you should have. It also includes a bug fix for filtering the average cpc column.

New Features:

  1. Auto Generate a Google Adwords Content Network Campaign for your selected keywords.
  2. Collect a new SEO category statistic using the advanced search feature that Google offers called “allintitle:”
  3. Show/Hide Grid Columns Easily
  4. Minimize Status/Progress Area to Maximize Screen space when looking at results

Bug Fix:

  1. The Estimated Average CPC column will now filter properly.

There will be a video in a separate blog post, showing how to take advantage of these new features. However, here is a little more detail on each one.

Auto Generate Google Adwords Content Network Campaign –

I have created a video for our users that shows how you can take a CPA offer and generate a Content Network Campaign with over 1500 relevant keywords using Keyword Rockstar in under 30 minutes, with only about 10 minutes of your time.  The remaining time is the automated collection of keywords for the campaign.

If you haven’t seen that video, you MUST watch it at http://www.keywordrockstar.com/viptraining.php

At the end of the video, I use this new feature and show you how to easily get the campaign generated into the Adwords editor and upload it to your account.

New “AllInTitle” Statistic Option -

This great feature was actually requested by one of our customers.  We felt that it was an excellent suggestion and decided to go ahead and put that functionality into this release.

It allows you to automatically collect the number of competing pages that have the keyword in the title of the page.  It is the same as using allintitle:kw when you search google.

One thing to remember is that Keyword Rockstar distinguishes between the various match types.  Most people will want to see the exact match AllInTitle statistic because that is the same as doing the following when searching Google:  allintitle:”kw”

So, be sure to not collect this stat for anything but Exact Match type in Keyword Rocsktar if you are only interested in the keyword being surrounded by quotes when it searches.

Show/Hide Grid Columns

This feature allows you to quickly hide columns in the grid that you are not interested in looking at or don’t have data for.  It allows you to focus only on what you want to see in the grid.

Once a column is hidden, you can easily show it again.

Minimize Status Bar Area

This is another feature that is meant to help you see as much data at once as you can.  Now, you can simply minimize the “Star Bar” area whenever you want.  This is especially useful for people that are using smaller monitors or laptops.

Things to Come

We have a lot of features planned over the next few months that we are going to give you.  Also, if there is anything that you would like it to do, please use the feature request to let us know.  We will do our best to make it happen.

Best Wishes,

Jon
